Collection Title: Crystal Narcissus
Pairing: Cyber-Elf X / X
Genre: All
Rating: G - R-18
Timeline: Various
Warnings: If someone being with an alternate reality / future / past version of themselves squicks you, then you should probably run away from this. Very, very fast.
Themes from: 1sentence, on LiveJournal. But I can't shut up so I never do claims on there.
Author's Note: This is another in my "Hey! Let's take X from MMX2 and shove him in MMZ! And then see what happens!" Pairing drabble collections (with actual fic following this concept later on). I usually post these on plurk in plurk pastes in mass posts, but I gather 'em up all in sets and shove them here once I've written enough of them. Various drabble collections of this kind will be posted here. Just saying.
Title: Despair
Genre: Romance / Angst
Rating: PG
Life was beautiful, full of fascinating experiences that the Older X would hold close to him forever.
And yet, it was cruel. Finally, he'd attained a tiny, heartfelt happiness, and he couldn't even express it the way he wanted to. He had to imagine flesh against flesh, dream about lips on lips and think about their fingers entwining so hard that he wished his desire alone would make him corporeal.
Title: End
Genre: Romance / Tragedy
Rating: G
X almost didn't even hear the faint, heartfelt “I love you” as his older self faded away for good, clutching himself and sobbing for failing someone he couldn't have saved to begin with.
Title: Taboo
Genre: Romance
Rating: PG
Warning: Implied sex.
X supposed he could call it something like a 'taboo'.
Well, that or sick narcissism that he didn't know he had; but he hadn't made a determination on which it was yet. Loving yourself, but not yourself; making love to yourself, but not yourself; truly a strange conundrum, indeed. One could perhaps call it an inevitable consequence of the younger Reploid bringing his body back to him, convincing him to live once more in the peaceful world that they both had worked together to create.
But as X smoothed the hair of his sleeping lover, he knew better.
Some would call this 'sick'. Others still would call it 'wrong'...
But X found that he didn't mind it either way.
Title: Peace
Genre: Romance
Rating: PG
The Older X had thought he knew peace; after all, it had been at the side of his younger self and Zero that he had managed to attain it. Humans and Reploids gained their equality, they worked hand-in-hand, and even Neo Arcadia seemed to have been preserved, the remaining Guardians running it smoothly under Harpuia's rule.
But no.
Roused from sleep mode, the Older X blinked his eyes, turning his head to the sight of his younger self using him as a pillow as he slept, clutching him like a lifeline.
His face was serene, content, brightened by the rays of sunlight touching his cheek and hair, almost making them glow in the morning light.
Kissing him softly on the forehead, X settled back down with a smile, watching his lover's face as he continued to sleep.
A morning like this, with no responsibilities, no fighting...just him and his younger self holding each other with no reason to let go?
This.
This was truly peace, and paradise.
